The Houston-Galveston Area Council is one of the largest regional planning commissions in the country with a diverse service area of 13 counties and more than7million people. We are the pulse of our region addressing issues that cross city limits and county lines every single day.

What will I bedoing?
ü Conducting project and regional level transportation conformity Air Quality analysis impacted by transportation improvement projects.
ü Supporting processes tied to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), especially concerning travel demand and air quality conformity.
ü Preparing and analyzing air quality emission reduction benefits for regional projects submitted for the transportation improvement program.
ü Conducting detailed analysis of air quality emission reductions using the EPA-required MOVES software.
ü Conducting data analysis utilizing mathematical, statistical, and other qualitative methods.
KeyQualifications
ü Knowledge of data analysis and visualization software: MOVES and GIS
ü Knowledge of Air pollution analysis.
ü Knowledge of Conformity Determination

ü Bachelor's degree in an applicable academic discipline orrelatedfield of study
ü 5years of experienceworking with local government, nonprofit programs, school, or in job-related duties
Preferred qualifications
ü Master's degree in (urban) planning, transportation engineering or a related field of study.
ü Familiarity with MOVES.
