Job description

Job Title: Sr. Power BI Developer – W2 Only

Location: Westlake, TX (primary) or Smithfield, RI (secondary)

Local candidates preferred. 

Visa: USC-EAD Only

Schedule:  Hybrid onsite every other week (5 days per week).

  • Strong experience with Power BI development, data modeling, Snowflake, Oracle, SQL performance tuning, ETL, and report deployment is essential, along with the ability to communicate effectively across multiple technical and business teams.
  • This is an individual contributor role that requires someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems rather than leading a team.
  • The ideal candidate has extensive experience developing Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, and Power Query (M Language).
  • They should have strong expertise in Snowflake data warehousing, SQL optimization, semantic modeling, row-level security (RLS), Power BI governance, and large-scale data visualization.
  • Experience with CI/CD for BI pipelines, cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, and Snowflake features like Snowpipe or Streams is valuable.
  • Hands-on Java or Python programming is a plus, but the primary focus is Power BI, data engineering, data modeling, and reporting modernization.

Must Have:

•             Power BI programing, query at a high level

•             Data modeling experience

•             Deploy reports

•             Snowflake, Oracle (tableau is not going to work)

•             ETL

•             Excellent communication - reporting to multiple teams and drive conversations

•             Performance tuning
