POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Business Intelligence Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions that provide valuable insights and support informed decision-making across the organization. As a Business Intelligence Developer, you will collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs, design data models, develop ETL processes, and create interactive dashboards and reports. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in BI tools, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for BI solutions.
  • Design and develop data models, ETL processes, and data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data warehouse. 
  • Develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms. 
  • Optimize and maintain existing BI solutions to ensure data accuracy, performance, and reliability. 
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decisions and process improvements. 
  • Implement best practices for data governance, data quality, and security to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards. 
  • Understand the decision-making process, workflows and information needs of stakeholders. 
  • Translate business needs into requirements that support stakeholders with required information. 
  • Provide technical expertise and support to end-users for troubleshooting, training, and assistance with BI tools and applications. 
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in business intelligence and analytics. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.  Master's degree preferred. 
  • Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Developer or similar role, with a minimum of 1-3 years of experience. 
  • Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and querying from relational databases.
  • Hands-on experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, or similar platforms. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. 
  • Experience in data modeling, ETL development, and data warehousing concepts. 
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, R, or Java is a plus. 
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. 
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality BI solutions that meet business needs.
