Data Analyst/Business Analyst

Location: Montgomery, AL (Onsite)

Duration: 6 Months+

Position Summary:

The Business Analyst/Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing data and producing a variety of reports using SQL, Microsoft Office, and Tableau. This role works closely with the Agency's leadership team to understand organizational goals and develops visualizations and presentations that translate data into actionable insights supporting financial and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce annual report exhibits and data visualizations, and maintain various data books, statistical reports, projections, and forecast analyses using multiple databases.
  • Prepare and analyze cost report information for nursing homes, hospitals, and other providers, generating comparative reports to assess profitability and financial solvency.
  • Develop short-term and long-term forecasting models, incorporating significant variables that influence outcomes.
  • Facilitate data integration from financial systems, claims systems, eligibility systems, and third-party data sources into ad hoc and standardized agency reports.
  • Deliver accurate reports in a timely manner to fulfill all SharePoint-based reporting requests.

Required Skills

  • 3-5 years of experience producing annual report exhibits and data visualizations, and maintain various data books, statistical reports, projections, and forecast analyses using multiple databases.
  • 3-5 years of experience developing short-term and long-term forecasting models, incorporating significant variables that influence outcomes.
  • 3-5 years of experience facilitating data integration from financial systems, claims systems, eligibility systems, and third-party data sources into ad hoc and standardized agency reports.
  • 3-5 years experience in SQL
  • 3-5 years experience with Tableau, Power BI or similar data visualization tools
  • Master's Degree in in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field. Or equivalent work experience
