Join Central Insurance as a Data Analyst where you will play a pivotal role in transforming data into meaningful insights that drive business decisions and regulatory reporting. In this role, you will partner closely across IT, Finance, Actuarial, and Analytics teams to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and reliability while helping the organization meet critical reporting requirements and strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities of the Role

  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports accurately and on time
  • Ensure adherence to & reinforcement of delivery best practices
  • Actively engaged in the design and implementation of repeatable processes
  • Champion data quality, integrity, and reliability throughout the department by designing and promoting best practices
  • Partner with IT, data engineering, and other BI organizations to advance data & analytical capabilities throughout the enterprise
  • Analyze and validate financial data; identify trends, discrepancies, and anomalies
  • Track regulatory updates and adapt reporting processes accordingly
  • Maintain documentation of processes and support internal/external audits
  • Identify improvement opportunities in reporting systems and workflows
  • Assume department responsibility as the Data Steward ensuring the fitness of data elements
  • Collaborate regularly with IT, Analytics, Actuarial, Finance, and other Business units to ensure data is accurate
  • Display critical thinking and evaluation when researching and responding to inquiries and referrals
  • Develop and utilize BI solutions effectively (reports, analytics, data pulls, insights, etc.) 
  • Meet with stakeholders to understand needs and provide insights that help meet profit, growth, and expense goals
  • Guide & influence strategic data solutions


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 2 years of related experience
  • Or 4 years of related experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Previous regulatory reporting or insurance experience
  • Working knowledge of Azure DevOps or other code repositories
  • Experience with object-oriented programming languages, such as Python
  • Advanced Alteryx expertise
  • Advanced SQL expertise
  • Data Modeling experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to set priorities and plans to meet business goals and objectives
  • Ability to shift & balance strategic, high-level thinking with attention to detail
  • Ability to lead, motivate & influence without having formal authority
  • Ability to act as a thought leader with a focus on innovative & high-quality solutions
