Support Marine Corps Training and Readiness

Green Cell Consulting is seeking a highly qualified Range Safety Specialist to support Marine Corps training and readiness. In this role, you will help shape the future of military training by ensuring the safe integration, deconfliction, and employment of ground-to-ground weapon systems across Marine Corps training ranges.

Position Summary

The Range Safety Specialist reports directly to the Project Manager and provides subject matter expertise and operational support for Marine Corps ground range safety programs. This role focuses on ground-to-ground weapons systems, surface danger zone analysis, and range safety policy implementation to ensure safe, compliant, and effective training execution.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide technical knowledge of Marine Corps Ground Range Safety IAW MCO 3570.1D to ensure deconfliction of ground range training and other activities occurring on Marine Corps ranges.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on multi-service ground-to-ground weapons systems and delivery characteristics.
  • Apply technical expertise in the Range Managers Toolkit (RMTK) Surface Danger Zone (SDZ) Tool IAW MCO 3570.1D.
  • Interpret Marine Corps range safety policy and its relationship to Department of Defense (DoD) ground munitions policy.
  • Provide knowledge and support to RTAM and Installation Range Management for advisory, programmatic, and training implementation related to current and future ground range operations IAW MCO 3550.10.
  • Analyze and assess training-related danger zones including surface, weapon, explosive, laser surface, and noise areas, and their relationship to installation infrastructure and boundaries.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in the development and execution of ground range safety policies and operational training programs.
  • Support planning and execution of ground range safety activities as it pertains to range certification IAW MCO 3550.9A.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in the planning, development, and execution of ground range safety training on operational ranges.
  • Develop updated ground range safety guidance, SOUMs, and draft revisions IAW MCO 3570.1D.
  • Provide analytical support for range safety and design activities supporting both CONUS and OCONUS training environments.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in the development, implementation, and revision of ARSP-1, ARSP-2, and ARSP-3 documentation.
Minimum QualificationsClearance
  • Active Secret security clearance required.
Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience
  • Minimum of one (1) year of Range Safety experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of U.S. military experience.
  • Ideal candidate is a former SNCO or Officer with experience as a Range Safety Officer or Officer in Charge.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to design, write, and present training programs and safety materials.
