What does a dance program manager do?

A Dance Program Manager oversees the planning, organization, and execution of dance programs within organizations such as schools, studios, or community centers. Their responsibilities include developing curricula, coordinating instructors, scheduling classes, managing budgets, and promoting events. They work to ensure high-quality instruction and a positive learning environment for students. Additionally, Dance Program Managers often collaborate with artistic directors, choreographers, and administrative staff to achieve the program's goals.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a dance program manager?

Familiarity with scheduling software, budgeting tools, and event management systems is valuable in this role. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills help in managing staff, coordinating programs, and fostering relationships with students and instructors. These skills and qualities are essential for ensuring effective program delivery, participant satisfaction, and the overall growth and success of the dance program.
