We are seeking a seasoned Data Governance Product Owner to lead strategy, roadmap, and delivery of enterprise-wide data governance capabilities. The ideal candidate has deep experience in data governance frameworks, metadata and lineage tooling, data quality management, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional stakeholder alignment.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Roadmap

·       Define and own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for data governance products (metadata, lineage, data quality, stewardship workflows).

·       Translate business goals and regulatory requirements into actionable epics, features, and user stories.

·       Drive adoption of data governance frameworks across priority domains.

Execution & Delivery

·       Manage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring clarity and alignment with business value.

·       Lead Agile ceremonies with engineering, data platform, and business teams to ensure timely product increments.

·       Oversee delivery of core capabilities, including Critical Data Elements (CDEs), data quality controls, lineage coverage, and stewardship workflows.

Data Governance Implementation

·       Enable and operationalize data governance policies, standards, and stewardship operating models.

·       Ensure robust data quality rules, thresholds, monitoring, and issue management.

·       Drive metadata completeness, lineage coverage, and documentation quality.

Stakeholder Management

·       Collaborate with business data owners, stewards, engineering, risk, compliance, and audit teams.

·       Run governance forums, steering committees, and decision-making sessions.

·       Influence and negotiate priorities across multiple business units.

Qualifications

·       12–15 years of total experience, with significant expertise in data governance, data management, and product ownership.

·       Strong understanding of DAMA-DMBOK, metadata management, lineage, data quality, CDEs, and access governance.

·       Hands-on experience with one or more governance tools (Collibra, Informatica, Alation, Atlan, Purview).

·       Proven experience working in Agile/SAFe environments.

·       Excellent communication, problem-solving, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills.

·       Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Information Management, Engineering, or related field.

·       Preferred certifications: CSPO/PSPO, SAFe POPM, CDMP, Collibra/Informatica certifications.
