Job description

 

Under general supervision, and according to established policies and procedures, will provide excellent customer service by greeting patients, answering the phone and directing the caller as appropriate. Performs duties across all physician practices, patient registration, scheduling appointments, collecting insurance co-pays and deductibles, insurance verification, records financial activity and accounts for all transactions completed on each shift. Provides continuity of flow of incoming and outgoing communication. Cross training in all practices, filing and retrieval of patient medical records is also necessary, along with maintenance of a neat and orderly office.



 Required:


  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • 1 year of experience in office setting or high level customer service environment.

Preferred: 


  • CPR
  • Experience in a medical office.
  • Experience with insurance billing procedures
  • Experience with an electronic medical record system
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
