JOB TITLE: Center Supervisor
LOCATION: Kalkaska, MI 49646
REPORTS TO: Director of Clinical Services
STATUS: Non-Union, Full-Time, Exempt
HYBRID ELIGIBLE: No
STARTING WAGE RANGE: $78,977.60 - $82,908.80 per year

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Minimum of an MSW, MS, MA, in related field from an accredited college or university. Must be licensed as a mental health professional.
Experience: Possess four years of experience working in mental health services with two years of supervisory experience.
Other: Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing. Lived experiences with behavioral health issues are valued.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Center Supervisor ensures quality community-based outpatient services are provided to the county in which the center is located. The Center Supervisor supervises all clinical, supports coordination, family support, community living support and clerical staff in their county. The Center Supervisor is also responsible for creating and maintaining community human services coordination and planning; and community relations. The Center Supervisor is the face of North Country Community Mental Health to the community.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Supervises Center clinical, Supports Coordination, Family Support, Community Living Support and clerical staff.
  • Chairs daily morning clinical huddles.
  • Provides mental health treatment including person-centered plan development and therapeutic interventions as needed.
  • Provides initial assessments, diagnostic consultations and emergency evaluations as needed.
  • Reviews and oversees clinical case records and record retention systems.
  • Conducts utilization reviews with clinical staff.
  • Provides mental health case consultations for other health and social service agencies.
  • Develops referral sources and initiates referrals to other community resources.
  • Oversees interactions between the mental health, substance abuse, and criminal justice systems.
  • Ensure appropriate consultation with, and use of, psychiatric services.
  • Oversees outpatient crisis intervention and may participate in the rotation of emergency service coverage.
  • Submits accurate statistical data and other reports as required.
  • Attends in-service training, conference, and meetings.
  • Develops and conduct in-service training for agency staff as requested.
  • Expertise in clinical documentation, service activity reporting, agency policy, agency procedure and Medicaid requirements.
  • Monitors and maintains quality services.
  • Actively participates as a member of the team and helps others when needed.
  • Participates on committees when appropriate.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Chief Clinical Officer.

  • Maintain good relations with contract agencies and community employers, and constructively represent NCCMH in the community as SEP liaison as assigned by supervisors.
