Job description

Job Purpose

Own the strategy, roadmap, and modernization of Weatherford's CygNet SCADA platform, providing the product leadership and foundation that support commercial success in partnership with Sales and Commercial teams. CygNet is a live, revenue-generating industrial software platform used across upstream (incl. production optimization), midstream, and industrial operations to monitor, control, and manage field assets and operational data.

The Product Manager is responsible for driving modernization across HMI, historian capabilities, operational data services, system integrations, user workflows, and platform architecture while maintaining operational reliability and customer continuity. This role defines product vision, roadmap priorities, modernization sequencing, and business outcomes aligned with portfolio strategy, approved budgets, customer needs, architecture standards, and Weatherford governance requirements.

The Product Manager works closely with Engineering Leads, Technical Product Leads, Product Owners, UX, and Architecture teams to modernize the platform architecture and deliver scalable, reliable, and commercially competitive software solutions.

The role is accountable for product adoption readiness, customer satisfaction, ROI, lifecycle performance, progress in modernization, and market competitiveness.

The Product Manager must maintain a strong awareness of customer needs, industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor platforms to ensure CygNet remains commercially competitive and aligned with market expectations.

This role also plays a critical organizational leadership function by interfacing regularly with senior leadership, aligning stakeholders around priorities and tradeoffs, and helping create the conditions for the engineering team to stay focused on execution.
