This portfolio includes Network solutions and services such as switches, routers, firewalls, fiber, patching, and assessments offered by partnering manufacturers and sold by Kendall Electric. The Network & Cybersecurity Specialist is responsible for overall revenue of these network systems as well as competency development for our inside and outside sales teams. As part of the Automation Group, this position primarily focuses on creating and advancing the Secure Manufacturing Network vision with customers and internal teams and articulates the business value associated with deploying these solutions.**Exciting work you will do:**The essential duties and responsibilities of the Industrial Network & Cybersecurity Specialist position will consist of, but are not limited to, the following:* Ensure a consistent level of business development and support for Kendall account managers and customers within the designated area of primary responsibility* Understand IT/OT in manufacturing and be able to communicate to customers in both segments* Develop the technical acumen required to expand the Networking & Security initiative within Kendall including explaining and teaching standards or CVDs, such as the Converged Plant Wide Ethernet Architecture (CPwE) and ISA, TIA, ANSI, NEMA, NEC, and NIST standards* Be a single point of contact to partnering manufacturers for the Networking & Cybersecurity product lines within the area of responsibility and be a lead advocate for the portfolio* Maintain an extensive understanding of Kendall’s networking products offered and the applicable industry standards associated with those products* Lead commercial activity and conversations at key accounts* Work with outside sales to create, maintain, and move forward a robust sales funnel* Meet growth targets in business revenue and strategic objectives/activities* Maintain quality service by adhering to Kendall Group policies, procedures, and standards* Perform other duties as assigned**Competencies you possess:*** Service Excellence* Results, Action Oriented* Accountability and Responsibility* Teamwork and Collaboration* Priority Setting* Planning and Organizing**What you’ll need:*** **Work Experience:** 5 years of experience in the Manufacturing and Network Technology field; this can include infrastructure project experience or IT-related experience* **Education:** High School diploma or GED* **Analytics/Computer Skills:** Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Datacom & Industrial Networking space and its standards; general understanding of Manufacturing Automation and Enterprise software systems (ERP, MES, CMMS, PLM, DNC, SPC, PLC, PAC, DCS); general understanding of data storage strategies, relational databases (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL)* **Organization Skills:** Highly organized and detail-oriented; ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed; ability to work in a fast-paced, continuously evolving, and at times ambiguous environment* **Cross-functional Skills:** Ability to work well cross-functionally; provides excellent internal and external customer service; ability to influence and guide team members when required; effective presentation skills in both small and large group settings* **Communication Skills:** Strong interpersonal communications, analytical and problem-solving abilities, organizational and written/verbal communication skills* **Physical, Mental and Visual Skills:** The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
