Mandiant Security Consulting Services ensures the long‑term success of our clients by providing talented, passionate, and specialized security expertise. Our Consultants partner with our clients to evaluate, create, develop, improve, and mature information security operations and programs. By utilizing the latest industry standards and combining experience and knowledge gained from Mandiant Incident Response, Intelligence and Managed Defense practices, we are able to develop defense‑forward information security programs for our clients.

As a Principal Cyber Security Consultant, you will be responsible for helping our clients assess, design and build effective cybersecurity programs. As an established trusted advisor and cyber security program thought leader, you will span operational, technical, and strategic levels and address difficult cyber security problems businesses face when building out and improving their security programs.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate client needs, coordinate design for a solution, scope the consulting engagement effort and cost, develop statements of work and proposals, and clearly communicate the value proposition of the proposed solution.
  • Lead and manage consulting engagements to build and transform cyber security and cyber defense programs and capabilities. Provide expert advice on best practices for managing the cyber security risks during digital transformation as organizations adopt cloud, devops, and new architecture frameworks such as containerization, microservices and zero trust.
  • Lead and manage teams delivering complex projects, ensuring they are delivered on‑time, on‑budget and with high customer satisfaction. Manage, coach and mentor other Mandiant consultants.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of Mandiant strategic services service offerings and methodologies.
  • Build relationships and communicate effectively to positively influence peers and client stakeholders.
Minimum qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience assessing and developing cybersecurity solutions and programs across security domains.
  • 8 years of experience in delivering cyber outcomes, identifying mission risks, and devising solutions.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
Preferred qualifications
  • Certifications related to specific cloud platforms.
  • Experience implementing industry‑leading practices around cyber risks and cloud security for clients' cloud security frameworks using industry standards.
  • Experience with cloud governance, with the ability to convey governance principles to cloud computing in terms of policies.
  • Excellent time and project management skills.
Salary and benefits

The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $164,000–$243,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
