$235,000 – $310,000+

A premier global law firm is seeking a Cybersecurity & Privacy Associate Attorney to join its Washington, DC office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in advising clients on sophisticated cybersecurity incidents, data breach response, privacy compliance, and crisis management matters.

Ideal Background

• 2–3 years of cybersecurity, privacy, data protection, or incident response experience gained at a sophisticated law firm, government agency, or in-house legal department

• Experience advising clients regarding cybersecurity incidents, data breaches, ransomware events, and privacy-related matters

• Experience supporting breach investigations, incident response, forensic investigations, regulatory notifications, and crisis management

• Experience counseling clients regarding U.S. privacy laws, cybersecurity regulations, data governance, and information security compliance

• Experience assisting with government investigations, regulatory inquiries, enforcement actions, or privacy-related litigation is a plus

• Technical or information security background is preferred but not required

• Strong legal research, drafting, analytical, project management, and communication skills

• Ability to independently manage sophisticated matters while maintaining significant client interaction

• Excellent academic credentials

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

• DC bar admission required or ability to become admitted
