They develop marketing strategies, create campaigns, and work closely with sales and product teams to communicate the value of cybersecurity solutions. Their role often includes market research, content creation, event planning, and managing digital marketing efforts, all tailored to the unique needs and regulations of the cybersecurity industry. Job description

About Us

CyberTheory, is a data-driven, full-service cybersecurity marketing advisory firm, powered by ISMG.

We partner with cybersecurity vendors and enterprise technology brands to develop and execute marketing strategies that drive measurable growth, enhance brand authority, and accelerate go-to-market outcomes. From advisory and content strategy to account-based marketing and integrated campaigns, CyberTheory helps clients convert insight into impact.

The Opportunity

Weโ€™re hiring an Account Director to drive strategic enterprise growth within our marketing advisory firm and help convert high-value inbound demand into long-term client partnerships.

This role is ideal for someone with a media, marketing, or advertising backgroundโ€”particularly those who have experience in sales planning, account management, or transitioned into advertising salesโ€”and understands how to translate marketing strategy into commercial opportunities.

Youโ€™ll work closely with prospective clients to understand their goals, shape tailored marketing solutions, and guide opportunities from initial conversation through close. This is a highly consultative role focused on solutioning, storytelling, and deal execution, with the opportunity to contribute to outbound efforts as well.

What Youโ€™ll Be Doing

Inbound Lead Conversion & Client Engagement

  • Manage and convert a steady flow of inbound enterprise leads from ISMGโ€™s ecosystem (events, media, content, etc.)
  • Lead discovery conversations to uncover client objectives, challenges, and success metrics
  • Build trust with marketing and business stakeholders across cybersecurity and enterprise technology organizations

Solution Development & Proposal Creation

  • Design customized, multi-channel marketing programs including demand generation, content, digital campaigns, and event sponsorships
  • Develop compelling proposals, RFP responses, and presentations that clearly articulate value and differentiation
  • Translate client needs into structured, commercially viable solutions

Sales Process Ownership

  • Own the full sales cycle from initial engagement through negotiation and close
  • Manage deal progression, timelines, and stakeholder alignment across multiple touchpoints
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasting in CRM

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with marketing, content, delivery, and operations teams to shape solutions and ensure seamless execution
  • Act as the bridge between client needs and internal capabilities

Strategic Prospecting

  • Supplement inbound pipeline with targeted outbound efforts across key accounts and verticals
  • Leverage industry knowledge and insights to proactively engage new opportunities
What You Bring to the Table
  • 4โ€“8+ years of experience in media, marketing, or advertising, ideally with exposure to both planning and sales
  • Background in roles such as Sales Planner, Account Manager, or Account Executive, with progression into client-facing commercial responsibilities
  • Strong understanding of integrated marketing programs (content, demand gen, events, digital/media)
  • Experience building sales materials, proposals, or media plans aligned to client objectives
  • Comfortable leading client conversations and guiding deals forward with confidence and structure
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally
  • Interest in or exposure to cybersecurity, enterprise technology, or B2B marketing is a plus
Why This Role

This is a unique opportunity to step into a role that sits at the intersection of marketing strategy and commercial executionโ€”with access to a strong inbound engine and the ability to shape high-impact, enterprise-level programs.

Youโ€™ll gain exposure to senior marketers and leaders across the cybersecurity industry, while building a foundation for continued growth within a fast-scaling global business.
