Position Summary: VoltaGrid is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to support and strengthen our security posture across both enterprise IT systems and operational technology (OT) environments. As a company operating critical energy infrastructure supporting AI and data center workloads, cybersecurity at VoltaGrid extends beyond traditional IT. This role will help protect systems where security incidents can have real-world operational and physical impacts. The Cybersecurity Analyst will play a key role in monitoring, detection, response, and continuous improvement, while contributing to the evolution of our cybersecurity program from reactive support to structured, risk-driven governance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze security events across endpoints, identity systems, cloud platforms, and network infrastructure, using tools such as EDR, SIEM, and Microsoft security platforms.
  • Investigate and respond to security incidents, including triage, containment, remediation, and post-incident analysis.
  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of threat detection and response capabilities, including alert tuning and playbook development.
  • Partner with engineering and IT teams to identify and remediate vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and security gaps across systems.
  • Assist in securing identity and access systems, ensuring enforcement of least privilege, MFA, and conditional access policies.
  • Contribute to the development and enforcement of security policies, standards, and procedures, aligning with regulatory and operational requirements.
  • Support compliance and audit readiness efforts, including evidence collection, control validation, and documentation.
  • Assist in monitoring and protecting operational technology (OT) environments, understanding the unique risks associated with ICS and infrastructure systems.
  • Participate in security awareness and training initiatives, helping improve human risk posture across the organization.
  • Maintain clear documentation of incidents, processes, and system configurations to support operational maturity and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay current on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices, applying insights to strengthen defenses.

Other Requirements:

  • 2–5 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or related technical roles.
  • Experience with security tools such as:
    • EDR/XDR (e.g., SentinelOne, Microsoft Defender)
    • SIEM platforms
    • Identity and access management systems
  • Strong understanding of security fundamentals, including:
    • Network security
    • Endpoint security
    • Identity and access management
  • Experience with incident response and threat analysis.
  • Familiarity with cloud security principles, particularly within Microsoft environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Experience working in critical infrastructure, energy, or industrial environments.
  • Familiarity with OT/ICS security concepts and risks.
  • Experience supporting SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar compliance frameworks.
  • Knowledge of zero trust architecture.
  • Experience with vulnerability management tools and processes.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Security+, CySA+, CISSP, GIAC)
