Job description

Role: Cyber Engineer

Client: Defense-Aerospace

Pay Rate: up to $72/hr (W2, non-benefited)

Length: 1-year contract

Location: Tucson, AZ

Clearance: Ability to obtain Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire

 

Description:

Compliance is responsible for implementing, sustaining, and validating cybersecurity controls to ensure systems, networks, operational technology (OT), and third-party integrations meet regulatory, contractual, and enterprise compliance requirements.

 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

•         Maintain accurate asset records in compliance with requirements, including lifecycle tracking, configuration management, and cybersecurity risk management.

•         Provide cybersecurity compliance guidance to engineering teams supporting TE production and procurement.

•         Install and update software packages to support production hardware operations and testing.

•         Troubleshoot production and development TE to ensure connectivity, functionality, compliance, and testing integrity.

•         Collaborate with Digital Technologies teams to integrate TE into controlled networks and enterprise environments.

 

 

Key deliverables for this role:

•         Implement and sustain security controls aligned with:

·         NIST SP 800-171

·         CMMC

·         DFARS

·         NIST SP 800-53 (as applicable)

·         NIST SP 800-82 (OT environments)

•         Translate regulatory requirements into enforceable technical controls.

•         Ensure enterprise policy alignment across IT, OT, and third-party environments.

 

 

Required Qualifications:

•         System vulnerability analysis

•         Windows OS proficiency

•         Linux OS proficiency

•         Networking fundamentals

•         NIST SP 800-171 knowledge

 

Desired Skills:

•         Risk analysis

•         Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)

•         System administration

 

Required Education:

Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of two (2) years of directly related experience
