Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Network Engineer to join our team! In this role you will serve as a technical expert, leveraging comprehensive knowledge of securing enterprise-wide networks.

This role supports a hybrid schedule, requiring 3 days onsite in Falls Church, VA

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Install, configure and support an organization's local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN).

  • Install, configure and support an organization's Internet systems or a segment of a network system.

  • Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and may perform necessary maintenance to support network availability.

  • May monitor and test website performance issues to ensure websites operate correctly and without interruption

  • May assist in network modeling, analysis, planning and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software.

  • May supervise computer user support specialists and computer support network specialists.

  • May administer network security measures.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or similar) with 6+ years of relevant experience

  • Active Secret Security Clearance

  • Network Visibility: Understanding network visibility such as NetFlow, SFlow, SNMP stats and the value and impact this can have on helping an organization achieve their business goals.

  • Network Automation: Understanding how to automate network operation to increase the administrative accuracy and efficiency of the customers networks.

  • Understanding EGPs and how they provide value to the customers networks to achieve enterprise wide or global reachability.

  • Security: Understanding how security controls come together to provide comprehensive security.

  • DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II requirements


What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Experience working in Linux environments (e.g., command-line usage, basic scripting, or system navigation)

  • Experience working with cyber asset management tools (e.g., Forescout)

  • Certification: CCNA or vendor equivalent within 6 months of hire
