We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst, CX & Renewals to join our team. This is a hybrid opportunity based out of Waltham, MA.

Job Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst serves as a strategic Finance business partner to the Renewals and Customer Experience (CX) organizations, driving analytics that improve renewal execution, retention planning, forecasting accuracy, and post-sales business growth. This role partners cross-functionally with Renewals, Customer Success, Business Systems, BI, Salesforce, Gong, and CX leadership to develop scalable reporting, ensure data integrity, and deliver actionable performance insights. Working closely with the Sr. Director of FP&A, the analyst identifies risks and opportunities, evaluates business performance, and provides financial analysis that supports strategic decision-making for Finance and Executive Leadership.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Partner with Renewals and Customer Experience (CX) leadership as the primary FP&A business partner, providing financial analysis and strategic insights to support retention, renewal performance, and business growth.
  • Develop and maintain executive dashboards and reporting for key renewal metrics, including ARR, retention, churn, downsell, renewal rates, price increases, and forecast performance.
  • Own the weekly renewals forecasting process, delivering accurate projections, variance analysis, risk assessments, and actionable recommendations for leadership.
  • Analyze renewal, bookings, and ARR trends across products, segments, customer cohorts, and sales teams to identify performance drivers, risks, and opportunities.
  • Lead monthly and quarterly reconciliation of churn, downsell, and renewal actuals, ensuring data accuracy and alignment across Finance and operational systems.
  • Establish and maintain data governance, reporting standards, and metric definitions while partnering with Business Systems, BI, Revenue Operations, and Accounting to improve data integrity.
  • Build and enhance financial models supporting annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, long-range planning, and renewal forecasting methodologies.
  • Prepare executive-level financial analyses, variance reporting, presentations, and business narratives for Finance, senior leadership, and Board reviews.
  • Identify churn drivers and customer retention trends by developing standardized analytics and actionable insights to improve renewal outcomes.
  • Support cross-functional strategic initiatives through financial modeling, business case development, process improvements, and ad hoc analyses that enhance forecasting accuracy and decision-making.
  • Other duties as assigned and required

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • 5–8+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Corporate Finance, Strategic Finance, Revenue Finance, or related analytical roles, preferably within a SaaS or enterprise software environment inclusive of a multi-product strategy.
  • Sound knowledge of subscription-based revenue models, recurring revenue forecasting, and key SaaS metrics (ARR, bookings, billings, renewals, retention, and churn).
  • Advanced financial modeling and Excel skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional leaders, presenting to senior management, and driving data-informed decision-making.
  • Proficiency with financial planning and analytics tools such as Adaptive Planning, Anaplan, Salesforce, Tableau, Power BI, SQL, or similar platforms.
  • Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools to enhance financial analysis, forecasting, reporting, and workflow efficiency.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience supporting customer-facing, Customer Success, Renewals, Sales, or Go-to-Market organizations within a SaaS business.
  • Experience improving financial planning methodologies, forecasting processes, and executive reporting.

This position offers a total compensation range of $123,000.00 to $133,000.00 (inclusive of base salary and variable compensation, such as bonuses and incentives).
