What You’ll Do

As a Cx Agent II, you will support and sometimes lead commissioning activities across design, construction, and occupancy phases—verifying that systems are installed correctly, function as intended, and meet owner requirements. You will collaborate with clients, designers, contractors, and vendors to deliver high‑performing buildings and a great project experience.

  • Review equipment submittals and shop drawings for compliance with design intent, owner project requirements, and functional testing needs.
  • Perform site visits; execute inspections using pre‑functional checklists, functional performance tests, and training matrices.
  • Prepare accurate, timely progress reports that outline commissioning status, issues, and action items.
  • Verify preventative maintenance materials and close‑out documents for commissioned systems and equipment.
  • Participate in client and internal Cx team meetings to review status and plan upcoming activities.
  • Maintain equipment logs and master deficiency lists; follow through to closure with clear ownership.
  • Support retro‑commissioning and diagnostic efforts to troubleshoot and optimize system performance.
  • Prepare and update commissioning plans and specifications; use cloud‑based Cx software and maintain version control.
  • Contribute to design reviews at key milestones and document comments clearly for the project team.
  • Perform other duties as needed to achieve project goals and client expectations.

Who We’re Looking For

Minimum Requirements:

  • Five years of experience with M&P systems, automation, and controls OR
  • Five years of experience with Electrical systems and low voltage systems OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) with two years of applicable experience or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Thorough knowledge of HVAC and/or electrical engineering principles and building automation and controls.
  • Ability to read and interpret design documents and equipment submittals.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; comfort with cloud‑based Cx platforms and mobile field tools.
  • Clear, concise technical writing; strong organization and follow‑through.
  • Professional certifications such as CxA, CxT, or similar are a plus.
