About the Company

We are a precision-focused automation and tooling company based in Troy, MI, serving customers across automotive, defense, and industrial manufacturing sectors. We specialize in both manual and robotic welding operations, delivering high-quality welds on steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and specialty alloys.

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled, licensed MIG/TIG Welder with 2+ years of experience to join our welding team. You'll work on a variety of industrial and structural weld applications, from production runs to precision detail work, using both processes depending on project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

•        Perform MIG and TIG welding on steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other metal alloys to print and specification

•        Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work orders

•        Set up and adjust welding equipment including gas, amperage, wire feed, and travel speed

•        Inspect completed welds visually and with measuring instruments to ensure quality and compliance

•        Prepare weld joints by cleaning, grinding, and fitting parts as required

•        Work with fixtures, jigs, and robotic welding workcells as needed

•        Document work and flag non-conformances per quality procedures

•        Maintain equipment and work area in safe, clean operating condition

Requirements

•        2+ years of hands-on MIG and/or TIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment

•        AWS Certified Welder (CW) or equivalent certification required

•        Ability to weld in multiple positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead)

•        Experience welding steel, stainless steel, and aluminum

•        Ability to read weld symbols and basic blueprints

•        Strong attention to detail and commitment to weld quality

•        Ability to stand for extended periods; lift up to 50 lbs

•        High school diploma or GED required

Preferred Qualifications

•        Experience with robotic MIG welding workcells (Fanuc or similar)

•        Background in automotive or defense component welding

•        Structural welding experience
