Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty

At Franciscan the Registered Nurse (RNs) Specialty are responsible for providing professional nursing care for patients in our specialty clinics. This role is critical in assisting providers and coworkers in coordinating patient care as well as functions as a liaison between patients, coworkers, and providers.

What You Can Expect:

  • Monday to Friday Earliest 7am, latest 5pm
  • Clinic hours are from 7:20am- 4:40pm (seeing patients)
  • Provide direct patient care, rooming patients, taking vitals, obtain medical history, administer vaccines, injections, medications, phlebotomy, point of care testing, medication reconciliation, starting IVs, triage, assisting with procedures, and conduct rounds with providers.
  • Exceptional service to those we are privileged to serve including internal and external customers, via phone, electronic and in person.
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills on multiple levels. Analysis and critical thinking to support provider.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on diagnosis, medications, procedures, treatment plans and chronic care management.
  • Initiate and follow through on prior authorizations, referrals, and medication refills.
  • Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families.

Qualifications:

  • Required Associate's Degree Nursing/Patient Care
  • Preferred Bachelor's Degree Nursing/Patient Care
  • Required Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
  • Required Registered Nurse (RN) - State Licensing Board

Travel is required: Never or Rarely
