Position Summary...As Senior Manager, Data Science – CVP Strategy and Modeling, you will support the development and articulation of Walmart’s Customer Value Proposition by providing data‑driven insights and modeling that optimize our promise speed in close partnership with eCommerce, Merchandising, Marketplace, Last Mile Delivery, and Operations teams. This role focuses on quantifying the value of speed, informing prioritization decisions to enable speed, and translating complex analyses into clear, executive‑ready narratives.
About the Team
The Fulfillment Strategy and Optimization team designs our Fulfillment network (assets and capabilities), optimizes our inventory flow strategy between assets, partners across Walmart to bridge strategy and execution, and articulates the vision for enabling a CVP that makes Walmart the winner. This role helps provide analytical consistency, clarity of messaging, and insight generation to support strategy and decision‑making.What you'll do...
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams to articulate our CVP strategy and bring it to life.
  • Conduct analyses to quantify the value of speed and inform prioritization across initiatives, assets, and markets.
  • Translate analytical insights into executive‑ready content for leadership forums such as MSM, ESM, and FOX.
  • Support consistency and clarity of messaging across teams by aligning assumptions, metrics, and narratives.
  • Lead deep‑dive analyses on priority topics, including market‑level ecosystem speed and asset impact assessments.
  • Leverage AI‑enabled tools to accelerate analysis and provide thought leadership on where AI can best support CVP strategy.
