What You Will Do:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team in Wichita Falls as a Coating/Furnace (CVD) Operator. You will play a key role to the team in repairing the hot sections of engines in our facility. This position may train on a different shift for up to 6 months before moving into the regularly scheduled 3rd shift, which is Monday-Saturday from 11pm-7am (5x8 hour shift schedule).

Pratt & Whitney in Wichita Falls, TX is a FAA regulated facility and as such under the U.S. Departments of Transportation's Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAA's regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with Plating, Blasting and the Ultrasonic Cleaning Line.

  • Loading/Unloading of furnace runs including loading parts, daisies, retort, leak checks and furnace.

  • Set up and perform/ tear down surveys.

  • Process gas container maintenance and change over.

  • Be able to use the instrument data to control the reaction.

  • Training of new CVD Operators.

  • In depth TPM's of all CVD equipment (not LOTO PM) according to TPM and cleaning schedules.

  • Able to pay attention to the instruments that are giving feedback on the progressing chemical reaction.

  • Maintenance, Inspection and loading of halide generators.

  • Maintain proper electronic and paper documentation.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Furnace/Large equipment and Aerospace/Manufacturing experience

  • Previous preventative maintenance experience highly preferred

  • Basic/intermediate computer skills

  • Knowledge of processes, processes alarms and troubleshooting.

  • Understanding of furnace operation, attention to detail, good troubleshooting skills, and willing to perform 5S tasks to maintain equipment.
