Job description

Who We Are
For over 25 years, Pango Group has been one of California's leading independent escrow resources, and much of that is accredited to building a people-first culture. We're firm believers that when a company holds true to its mission, vision, and values and invests in its people, the sky's the limit when it comes to creating amazing partnerships, happy clients, and a fulfilled team of employees. Our partnership with First American brought together two people-first companies, and that's been an integral part of our mutual success, including being named one of the Los Angeles Best Places to Work for the eight consecutive years and Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For list for eleven consecutive years. We hire hungry, humble, and smart individuals (that's why you're here!) and believe the inclusion of everyone is very important. This is true throughout all of our brands and offices, which has led us to be included in more than 50 regional best places to work.
What We Do
Build. Close. Grow.
CV Escrow is seeking an experienced, revenue-generating Escrow Officer who thrives in a high-volume environment, runs an independent desk, and brings a strong, transferable book of business. This role is designed for escrow professionals who are not just managing transactions but building relationships, driving production, and growing a brand.
As a trusted, neutral third party, you'll oversee complex real estate transactions from open to close while mitigating risk, safeguarding funds, and delivering exceptional service to clients and partners.
What You'll Do
  • Independently manage and close residential and/or commercial escrow transactions from file opening through settlement
  • Establish and maintain escrow accounts; accurately manage, reconcile, and disburse funds in compliance with contracts and company policy
  • Serve as a neutral liaison between buyers, sellers, lenders, agents, and attorneys
  • Review and interpret titles, mortgages, trust deeds, and related legal documents
  • Prepare and execute closing documents, final settlement statements, and recording packages
  • Monitor transaction risk and ensure adherence to regulatory, company, and FinCEN requirements
  • Provide timely updates and reporting to all transaction stakeholders
  • Mentor and support developing escrow team members as needed

What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years of escrow experience, including independently running a full escrow desk
  • Established, transferable book of business with a proven ability to generate revenue
  • Strong reputation and long-standing relationships within the real estate community
  • Hands-on experience directly handling escrow transactions
  • High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and client management skills
  • Comfort with technology and the ability to adapt quickly to proprietary systems and workflows
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Why CV Escrow
  • Leadership that understands escrow. Our leaders have real desk experience
  • Sales, marketing, and operational support designed specifically for high-producing escrow officers
  • FARR system that automates a significant portion of FinCEN reporting
  • Dedicated floater team support to help manage volume and protect work-life balance
  • Seller Protection Plan with up to $35,000 coverage on eligible transactions
  • Boutique escrow culture backed by First American's stability, benefits, and technology

If you're an experienced escrow officer who wants the freedom to run your desk, the support to scale your business, and the backing of an industry leader, CV Escrow is built for you.
Pay Range: $26.21 - $34.95 Hourly
This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
** Note that the following statements only apply to candidates who will be working from an unincorporated area within Los Angeles County. **
First American will consider for employment all qualified applicants, including those with arrest or conviction records, in a manner consistent with the requirements of applicable state and local laws (e.g., the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act).
First American intends to conduct a review of an applicant's criminal history in connection with a conditional offer. First American reasonably believes that a criminal history may have a direct, adverse and negative relationship with the following material job duties for this position potentially resulting in the withdrawal of the conditional offer of employment: handling of confidential, proprietary or trade secret information belonging to First American or its customers, administrating or facilitating financial transactions, and the ability to meet customer-imposed criminal history requirements.
What We Offer
By choice, we don't simply accept individuality - we embrace it, we support it, and we thrive on it! Our People First culture is inclusive for all employees - not just because it's the right thing to do, but because it's the key to our success. We are proud to foster an authentic and inclusive workplace For All. You are free and encouraged to bring your entire, unique self to work. First American is an equal opportunity employer in every sense of the term.
Based on eligibility, First American offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401k, PTO/paid sick leave and other great benefits like an employee stock purchase plan.
