Job description

CV Resources is partnering with a highly respected nonprofit arts organization in Portland, OR seeking a Director of Financial Operations to join their team on a direct hire basis.

  • Hybrid โ€“ Downtown Portland (2-3 days onsite)
  • Up to $125K DOE
  • Mission-driven organization with outstanding benefits and culture

This is a hands-on accounting and finance leadership role focused on overseeing day-to-day financial operations, monthly close, budgeting/forecasting, reporting, and cross-functional financial partnership across the organization. The position offers strong visibility and the opportunity to play a meaningful role in supporting a well-known Portland institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead monthly close and financial reporting processes
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and variance analysis
  • Ensure GAAP compliance and strong internal controls
  • Support annual audit and nonprofit financial reporting requirements
  • Partner with leadership across operations, development, HR, marketing, and other departments
  • Improve financial processes, reporting tools, and operational efficiencies
  • Assist with board and finance committee reporting

Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial operations
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Nonprofit experience strongly preferred
