Job description

The Shop Cutter Helper requires the ability to learn and comprehend knowledge needed to operate the Robotic cutting machine. Must have the ability to read and interpret instructions and documentation. Work in other crafts at levels appropriate to training and skills as requested by supervision.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • May assist with preparation and distribution of production documents
  • Compiles and maintains records utilizing knowledge of systems or procedures
  • Clean work area and restock supplies and materials as necessary
  • May assist in lifting, position and securing or materials and work pieces during installation
  • Observes load hook up and determines safety of load
  • Inspects crane for defective parts, documents and notifies the supervisor of the defects or malfunctions
  • Performs minor maintenance or cleaning activities on tools and equipment
  • Learn to read and understand plans and specifications
  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
  • Works under immediate supervision
  • Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
  • Assist other craft workers as needed
  • Perform other routine duties as directed

Basic Qualifications:

  • May require a high school diploma or its equivalent and previous years of related experience
  • Computer skills required (i.e. Word, Excel, etc.)
