Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cutter to join our fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately measuring, marking, and cutting materials for custom, large-scale drapery and fabrication projects. The ideal candidate has strong sewing and fabrication experience, takes pride in precision craftsmanship, and thrives in a fast-paced production environment.
Working closely with the production team, you'll help ensure every project meets our high standards for quality, accuracy, and on-time delivery.
Responsibilities
  • Measure, mark, and cut fabrics and other materials according to project specifications.
  • Execute complex cutting for custom, large-scale drapery and fabrication projects.
  • Read and interpret work orders, floor plans, sketches, and technical drawings.
  • Create, modify, and utilize patterns to ensure accurate production.
  • Maintain exceptional attention to detail while working on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Collaborate with sewing and production teams to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects.
  • Inspect materials and finished cuts for accuracy and quality before production.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.

Requirements
Qualifications
  • Previous professional sewing or fabric cutting experience required.
  • Experience with large-scale drapery, theatrical drapery, upholstery, or custom fabrication preferred.
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure and perform precise measurements.
  • Experience reading and interpreting floor plans, sketches, and technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of pattern making and pattern modification.
  • Experience operating industrial sewing equipment, including straight stitch, overlock (serger), blind hemmer, and grommet press machines, is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet production deadlines.
  • Spanish language skills are a plus.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Ability to occasionally lift, push, or carry materials weighing up to 75 pounds.
