What You Will Do

Responsible for cutting cables according to specifications and project requirements in a safe and accurate manner. You will work closely with the production team to ensure the timely and efficient completion of cable cutting tasks.

  • Collaborating with the lead to prioritize and schedule cable cutting tasks.

  • Reading and interpreting MO’s (Manufacturing Order) and technical specifications to understand cable cutting requirements.

  • Operate cable cutting equipment and tools to cut fiber optic cables to the required lengths.

  • Inspect cable quality and ensure they meet the required standards.

  • Maintain inventory control by accurately tracking and reporting the quantity and scrap of cable cuts.

  • Adhering to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.

  • Perform routine maintenance of cleaning of cable cutting equipment and a well-maintained work area free of trash debris, plastic, cardboard, etc.

  • Following quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and consistency of cable cuts.

  • Performs additional tasks as required or assigned.

What You Will Bring

  • Previous experience in cable cutting or related manufacturing roles is preferred.

  • Forklift experience is preferred

  • Basic understanding of fiber optic cables and their handling requirements preferred.

  • Attention to detail and ability to work with precision to meet specifications.

  • Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations.

  • Good communication and teamwork.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and meet deadlines.
