To thrive as a Customs Brokerage Intern, you need a basic understanding of import/export regulations, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills, often supported by coursework in international trade or logistics. Familiarity with customs documentation systems, data entry software, and Microsoft Office is typically expected. Excellent communication, problem-solving abilities, and a willingness to learn help interns excel in fast-paced environments. These skills ensure compliance, efficient processing of shipments, and effective support for customs operations.
