DESCRIPTION:
Join us as a Senior Manager of Manufacturing Operations at Thermo Fisher Scientific to advance manufacturing excellence in support of our mission to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. You will oversee daily operations, coordinate manufacturing activities, and guide teams to achieve exceptional results in safety, quality, and efficiency. Working in a GMP-regulated environment, you'll advance continuous improvement initiatives, implement lean manufacturing practices, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards while developing strategic solutions to meet business objectives. This role offers the opportunity to enhance production processes, support team development, and cultivate a culture of operational excellence.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Associate's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Business, or a related field and a minimum of five (5) years of progressive manufacturing, assembly, or operations leadership experience; or
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Business, or a related field and a minimum of three (3) years of progressive manufacturing, assembly, or operations leadership experience.
• Preferred Fields of Study: Engineering, Sciences, Microbiology, Biology, Business Administration, or related technical field
• 3-5 years of manufacturing leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of GMP, FDA regulations, QSR guidelines, and ISO requirements
• Expertise in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
• Demonstrated success in implementing operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives
• Experience with production planning, scheduling, and resource optimization
• Demonstrated ability to guide and develop effective teams
• Strong financial acumen including budget management and cost control
• Excellent project management and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in aseptic or sterile manufacturing environments preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization
• Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities
• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and EHS standards
