Job description

The Environmental Services (EVS) Operations Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the daily operations of the Environmental Services department within a healthcare facility. This role leads EVS staff, ensures high standards of cleanliness, safety, regulatory compliance, and patient satisfaction, while overseeing staffing, budgeting, training, performance management, and operational efficiencies. The Operations Manager partners with hospital leadership to drive service excellence, improve processes, and maintain a positive patient and employee experience.
 

Pay: $80000-$90000/ YR

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree required. 
  • In lieu of a bachelor's degree, a High School Diploma/GED plus 5+ years of relevant management experience may be accepted. 
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in healthcare. 
  • Acute care hospital leadership experience preferred. 
  • Experience in a large academic medical center preferred. 
  • Union workforce management experience strongly preferred. 
Technical Skills
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and other business software. 
  • Ability to analyze and utilize operational data for process improvement.

  • Lead, motivate, and develop EVS associates to achieve departmental goals and customer satisfaction targets.

  • Maintain effective communication with staff, hospital leadership, and cross-functional departments.
