About the Opportunity
As the Manufacturing Supervisor at Monin, you will be responsible for leading a team of machine operators to produce, bottle and package syrups, purees and flavors in accordance with Monin standards, Good Manufacturing Practices, Safe Quality Food requirements and FDA guidelines for safe production of food products. An added responsibility is communicating daily workflows to accomplish daily goals without compromising employee and product safety.


What You'll Do

  • Help develop the manufacturing team to achieve company goals by communicating expectations and reporting regularly on current results.
  • Lead team meetings including shift change meetings.
  • Assign and monitor daily, weekly, monthly tasks to completion with 100% being the goal.
  • Listen, coach, and/or council team members and responsible for performance evaluations and disciplinary discussions.
  • Assist each team member by offering opportunities for growth i.e. cross training, technical training, etc.
  • Report / Record equipment concerns into maintenance program for repairs.
  • Utilize lean/continuous improvement methodologies to eliminate losses and defects.
  • Optimize resources, analyze data and lead small problem-solving teams.
  • Monitor production schedule and line performance vs plan taking appropriate action to minimize losses and ensure shift activities and performance are documented in shift notes.
  • Ensure team members participate in required training (safety, quality, etc.) and follow safety and quality requirements.
  • Monitor quality of the product and ensure activities are performed to Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Manage team member schedules and time.
  • Serve as back up to Syrup Manager, Manufacturing Manager or Manufacturing Director.
  • Interdepartmental communication and problem-solving initiatives.
  • Using data systems to enter, monitor and analyze information including but not limited to NAV, CMMS, and PayCor.
  • Able to back up direct reports as needed.
