You will be responsible for maximizing value, retention and growth throughout the customer lifecycle. You will help build and develop customers' cloud strategies. Becoming an industry expert, delivering innovative outcomes for customers through relationships, business acumen, and operational focus.

As an Engagement Manager II, you will be responsible for:
  • Working independently as a trusted advisor for customer stakeholders to support their long‑term strategy and visions
  • Owning the technical program management while maximizing Akamai's platform value for the customer
  • Being the central point of contact for customers and leading the integrated account team delivering customer success
  • Educating customers on and empowering their adoption of Akamai's products and services to support account growth
  • Responding to escalations when various program management issues arise and leading operational improvements to mitigate future risks
Do what you love To be successful in this role you will:
  • Have 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or its equivalent
  • Have relevant experience in customer‑facing technical roles within public cloud or cloud software companies
  • Demonstrate proven ability to manage and deliver large‑scale cloud projects for enterprise customers
  • Have solid consulting, relationship‑building, and communication skills with stakeholders at all organizational levels
  • Possess hands‑on expertise in IaaS, Kubernetes, containers, CI/CD pipelines, or other modern cloud technologies
  • Have program or project management experience across cross‑functional technical teams, with cloud architect certifications
  • Be proficient in English and Mandarin (written and spoken), with solid presentation skills to explain complex technical concepts clearly
  • Be willing to travel 25‑35% to customer offices, and cover the West Coast area (California and Seattle)
Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For US based candidates only – the base salary for this position ranges from $119,600 - $215,400/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP). Akamai provides industry‑leading benefits including healthcare, 401K savings plan, company holidays, vacation (in the form of PTO), sick time, family‑friendly benefits including parental leave and an employee assistance program including a focus on mental and financial wellness; eligibility requirements apply.
