Job description

Customer Success Manager

We're looking for a Customer Success Manager to join our growing CS team in Houston, reporting to our VP of Customer Success. You'll own a portfolio of clients — including hedge funds, oil majors, refiners, vessel owners and trading companies — and be responsible for their onboarding, adoption, retention and growth. As part of a small, global CS team, there's plenty of room to shape the role and grow with it.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Own onboarding, training and support for your client portfolio, driving product adoption and account health.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, understanding their workflows and challenges.
  • Partner with Sales to spot cross-sell and upsell opportunities, and manage renewal risk.
  • Feed client insight back to the Product team to help shape the roadmap.
  • Maintain and improve our Customer Success processes and tools.
  • Help build a company-wide culture centered on customer success.

About You

  • Some knowledge of, or experience in, oil & gas, commodities, or trading — you understand the world our clients operate in.
  • Experience in a customer-facing role such as Customer Success or Account Management — ideally supporting a data, intelligence, or SaaS product.
  • Comfortable using AI and automation tools in your day-to-day work, and curious to find smarter ways of doing things.
  • Strong communicator, comfortable building relationships and influencing stakeholders.
  • Analytical and process-minded — you like understanding what drives client value.
  • Proactive and comfortable with ambiguity — happy to figure things out and get stuck in.
  • High level of integrity and alignment with Sparta's values.

Sparta Commodities is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and promotes diversity within its workforce. We are determined that no-one will ever receive less favourable treatment on the grounds of gender, age, disability, religion, belief, sexual orientation, marital status, race, veteran status or any basis covered by appropriate law.
