Job description

All Creatures Veterinary Clinic is expanding! We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, compassionate and detailed oriented candidate to join our team. This position includes the duties of both a customer service representative and veterinary assistant.ย ย Candidate must be able to multi-task and exhibit excellent customer service in a fast paced environment. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a veterinary clinic but we are willing to train the right individual.

Our practice is located in the beautiful recreational community of Minocqua, Wisconsin. We see a variety of patients including companion animals as well as exotics, and pocket pets. Our practice is paper-light and offers the latest in equipment and technology.

Work schedule is M-F with 1-2 Saturdays per month. This position is available as either fulltime averaging 35- 39 hours per week (season dependent) or we would also consider part-time.ย ย We offer a complete benefits package including health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance for full time employees. We also offer 401k with match, uniform allowance, and veterinary care discounts. Rate is dependent on relative skills and experience in veterinary medicine.ย ย Rate: $15-$18/hr.

The veterinary assistant/CSR is the entire team's primary support. Every department relies on their significant role in aiding with a variety of services to provide excellent client and patient care.

-ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Clean/Disinfect cages, kennels, exam and treatment areas of hospital

-ย ย ย ย ย Skills of an unlicensed technician are a plus.

-ย  ย  Potential financial assitance with Penn Foster program to become licensed as aย  Veterinary technician

Qualifications:

Must be 18yrs old or older

Must be a self-starter, able to multitask and a team player.

Genuinely enjoys working with animals and is able to deal with them even when they are stressed, ill or in pain.

Prefer 1+ years of experience, but willing to train the right candidate

Ability to meet the physical demands of the job. Work requires lifting, carrying and restraining animals (will be assisted by other staff members in lifting animals over 40 lbs.). Should be able to lift 40lbs on own.

. Walks or stands for extended periods or time; frequently works in a bent or squatting position.

. Is experienced in the teamwork approach and works well with all levels of hospital team members.
