Job description

If you are looking for an entry level position that allows growth, and opportunity, look no further!

Customer Service Representative is responsible for obtaining and verifying all Insurance benefits along with requesting and following up on documents needed to process the orders. 


Essential Functions:

1. Obtains customer benefits from Insurance Company 

2. Reviews Insurance browser to identify how to process an order while verifying benefits. Watches out for discrepancies and inaccuracies and if criteria has to be met for coverage 

3. When authorization is needed--Assigns new orders to the auth department and obtains additional documentation if needed 

4. Forwards order onto the Tier 2 CSR once benefits are obtained 

5. Accurately completes the Insurance verification form and Med Act including customer and order pages. 

6. Work callback report daily 

7. Identify what information is missing to process the order prior to sending to CSR 2--identify in "NEED" note 

8. Call patient to acknowledge JAS received the order and obtain any missing information the patient can provide. 

9. Update audit history tab as information is obtained 

10. Process cancels and voids 

11. Take incoming phone calls for the team 

12. Perform the basic requirements of a CSRII Order Specialist while they are out of the office
