Summary:
The Regional Service Operations Manager reports directly to the Director, Power & Energy Product Support Operations and works with the Product Support Sales Manager, New Engines Sales Managers, Parts Sales & Operations Supervisor, other company management and staff departments to ensure attainment of Branch, Division and corporate goals.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Manages a minimum of three (3) Equipment & Power System Division Service Center and/or Equipment & Power System Division Field Service Center.
  • Manages general accounting functions for the branch and controls budget in line with forecasts, objectives and overall company policies. Develops and controls all shop and field service budgets in line with forecasts, objectives and overall company policies.
  • Projects long- and short-range forecasts, objectives and action plans related to product support to achieve Sales, Gross Profit and PADE objectives.
  • Selects, supervises and develops the necessary labor to maintain a functional Product Support Department in line with the overall Company policies and forecasts.
  • Develops and supervise execution of an annual training program for the Product Support Department.
  • Provides and maintains adequate, neat and safe offices, workshop(s), yards, vehicles, tools and other facilities required by the Product Support Department to provide the agreed product support standards.
  • Assists in developing Service & Parts sales promotion programs.
  • Maintain exceptional customer relations.
  • Maintains high-quality cooperation and communication with all company departments.
  • Establishes, directs and reviews the paper flow and processes.
  • Working with Product Support Development Group with rebuilds practices, repair practices and Flat Total pricing.
  • Requests and implements capital investment for Service & Parts.
  • Provides necessary Technical Communication function for branch.
  • Monitors Dealer warranty cost and claim performance, providing summary reports for management review.
  • Responsible for planning and maintenance of all company facilities.
  • Responsible for maintaining good manufacture and supplier relations.
  • Responsible for the safety of all branch personnel.
  • Continuous Improvement (CPS) and Key Performance Indicator (KPI).

Minimum Skills and Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Two- or Four-year degree preferred.
  • Five (5) years equipment Dealership supervisory experience within Service.
  • Management experience in budgeting, customer contact in a service environment, and working as a team player in an interdepartmental operation. Must have strong business acumen to manage location profit/loss performance.
  • Must be highly motivated, with excellent leadership skills, superior communication skills along with good organizational skills.
