Overview
Overnight Call Center Customer Service Position
We are hiring immediately for an overnight shift, which may include either Saturday or Sunday. Bilingual skills preferred, but not required. This is a full-time, on-site, customer service position at Roto-Rooter's Chicago area Call Center located in Lombard, IL. We are a 24-hour service provider, so our call center stays busy overnight.
  • $17.00-$19.00 per hour, depending on experience
  • Opportunity for weekly overall call center performance based bonus
  • Must be able to train during the day shift for 3-6 weeks.

Responsibilities
  • Be the first point of contact with our customers.
  • Obtain key information from the customer while expressing empathy, a sense of urgency and confidence that they called the right company, and we will solve their plumbing problems.
  • Data entry, including customer contact information and relevant details concerning their plumbing problems.
  • Schedule a service call based on customer's availability and convenience.
  • Discuss additional services and products we have available that may be helpful.
  • Be a trusted informational resource for Roto-Rooter customers.
  • Order processing for both residential and customers
  • Connecting with technicians to dispatch overnight jobs
Requirements
  • Strong customer service focus
  • AS400 knowledge is preferred
  • Prior call center experience is helpful
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent attendance
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel programs
  • Self-starter who is organized and thorough with attention to detail
