    Job description

    We are now looking for a Customer Operations Specialist for our supply chain management team. As part of the Customer Operations team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of customer orders and operational activities within their assigned business segment. This role serves as the primary point of coordination between customers and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate order processing, timely delivery execution, and effective issue resolution. The position is expected to operate independently while maintaining a strong focus on customer experience, operational accuracy, and cross-functional collaboration. Specialists are accountable for managing daily operational activities, identifying potential risks, and escalating issues appropriately to support business continuity and customer satisfaction. The Customer Operations Specialist reports to the Customer Operations Team Lead or Customer Operations Manager. This is a hybrid role located at our North America Headquarters office in Atlanta, GA.


    In this role youโ€™ll be responsible for:

    • Manage customer orders from entry through fulfillment, invoicing, and completion
    • Coordinate customer requirements with Planning, Manufacturing, Logistics, Transportation, and Commercial teams
    • Maintain accurate order information and proactively communicate updates to customers and internal stakeholders
    • Monitor daily operational activities to ensure timely order execution and delivery performance
    • Support customer onboarding activities and account transitions
    • Process orders through SAP, MyKemira, Sales Applications, and future operational platforms
    • Identify and escalate operational risks, delays, and customer-impacting issues
    • Support transportation coordination and delivery execution activities
    • Maintain compliance with established operational processes and performance expectations
    • Participate in process improvement initiatives and operational training activities
    • Support after-hours and on-call responsibilities as assigned


    What youโ€™ll bring to the team:

    • High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 5 yearsโ€™ experience in a high-volume Customer Service Center; transportation scheduling experience highly recommended.
    • Proficiency in the SD module of SAP, including sales order processing, logistics execution, and billing, as well as strong MS Office skills.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and thrive in a rapidly changing work environment.
    • Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical, judgment, and decision-making skills, with a customer-focused mindset to build and maintain satisfaction.
    • Creativity, innovation, and an understanding of cross-departmental collaboration to support customer needs effectively.
