Customer & Operations Liaison


Compensation: $17.00 / hour

Employment Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Includes a 1-hour lunch)


Position Overview

Maumee River Roofing is seeking a highly versatile and energetic Customer & Operations Liaison to join our team. This is a brand-new, hybrid in-office role designed for a professional who thrives on variety.

Because our business needs constantly change, this individual will be utilized as a "utility player" across three critical areas of our company: Customer Service (First Impressions), Administrative Data Management, and Production Coordination. Depending on the day, you may spend your morning greeting homeowners and updating our CRM, and your afternoon assisting the Production Coordinator with scheduling and material orders. If you are adaptable, organized, good on a computer, and willing to grow with us, this is the perfect opportunity to make an immediate IMPACT!

How You Will Be Utilized (Key Responsibilities)

1. As our First Impression Specialist (When supporting the front office):

  • Serve as the friendly face and voice of the company, greeting homeowners and visitors.
  • Answer incoming calls with a smile, route calls to the appropriate departments, and answer basic homeowner questions.
  • Schedule appointments and meetings, ensuring we collect all important information from our homeowners.
  • Reply to electronic communications and create the company's monthly newsletter.

2. As our Data Administrator (When supporting project management):

  • Act as the primary liaison between Sales and Production to ensure accurate job approvals and smooth project handoffs.
  • Maintain, update, and verify the accuracy of all data within our CRM system.
  • Track project documents, prepare customer invoices, pull inspection permits, and coordinate with local municipalities.
  • Register manufacturer warranties and ensure all final project documentation is printed, assembled, and properly stored.

3. As our Production Assistant (When supporting the Production Coordinator):

  • Assist the Production Coordinator in scheduling jobs for installs.
  • Communicate with homeowners over the phone to ensure they know the exact dates and times our crews will arrive.
  • Build labor tickets and material orders for upcoming projects.
  • Ensure payments and job costs, such as labor hours, are accurately entered into job files.
  • Follow up with homeowners after crews finish to ensure complete satisfaction.
  • Prepare and send completed jobs to the invoicing department.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Must-Haves: Highly proficient on a computer, easy to talk to on the phone, and possess a strong willingness to learn and grow within the company.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of office, customer service, or administrative experience required.
  • Education: Associate degree in Business Administration, Data Management, or related work experience preferred.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, etc.) and CRM systems (experience with AccuLynx or BuildingConnected is a plus).
  • Soft Skills: Outgoing, adaptable, and personable. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with extraordinary attention to detail.
  • Work Ethic: Ability to work independently, pivot quickly between different types of tasks, and live out our Company CORE values.

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to navigate standard office environments.
