Job description

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Manager to support daily office operations within a manufacturing environment. This temporary position is responsible for overseeing administrative functions, processing accounts payable, maintaining bookkeeping records, coordinating payroll activities, and supporting office operations.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable multitasking, maintaining accurate records, and serving as the primary point of contact for office-related matters while ensuring efficient day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily office operations, correspondence, filing, and records management.
  • Process accounts payable transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Process new hire paperwork and forward documentation to payroll.
  • Process steel receiving transactions and forward information to the sales department.
  • Process weekly payroll in ADP every Monday morning.
  • Maintain plant schedules and attendance tracking.
  • Assist with outgoing shipping paperwork, including scrap steel documentation.
  • Coordinate appointment schedules for management and key personnel.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between office staff and external vendors.
Qualifications
  • Previous office management experience within a manufacturing or similar environment.
  • Knowledge of accounts payable and bookkeeping practices.
  • Experience using ERP systems.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Experience with advanced office software and scheduling tools is a plus.
