Job description

Build Our HVAC Division From the Ground Up

Lynx Mechanical is expanding into HVAC, and we're looking for an experienced HVAC Operations Manager to help build and lead this new division.

This is an opportunity to take ownership from day one; helping establish the team, systems, processes, workflows, and standards that will shape the future of our HVAC operation.

We're looking for an accountable, hands-on leader who understands residential HVAC and new construction, knows how to develop people, and is motivated by the opportunity to build something from the ground up.

What You'll Do
  • Help establish and build the HVAC department's operational structure, including staffing, systems, processes, workflows, and contracts.
  • Oversee day-to-day HVAC service, maintenance, repair, and installation operations.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the HVAC team while building a strong culture based on accountability, integrity, teamwork, respect, and passion.
  • Manage scheduling, workload, productivity, and resource allocation.
  • Work closely with internal departments and the plumbing team to coordinate projects and ensure HVAC operations integrate effectively with the broader Lynx operation.
  • Support field teams with troubleshooting, technical challenges, and escalated issues.
  • Work with builders, customers, suppliers, and other trades to ensure projects run smoothly.
  • Monitor job costing, operational KPIs, and project performance to improve efficiency, quality, and profitability.
  • Develop and implement systems and processes that improve consistency, accountability, and the customer experience.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure work meets company quality standards and applicable codes and regulations.
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of HVAC industry experience with progressively increasing responsibility.
  • 2+ years of supervisory or management experience, preferably in HVAC service, installation, or new construction.
  • Experience with high-velocity HVAC installations is strongly preferred.
  • Residential new construction experience is required.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team.
  • Strong understanding of scheduling, workflow, productivity, and field operations.
  • Familiarity with job costing, margins, and operational KPIs.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing competing priorities.
  • Willingness to be hands-on and support the field team when needed.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Relevant HVAC certifications, licenses, or trade qualifications.
Why Lynx?

You'll have the opportunity to play a key role in building a new department from the ground up and directly influence how it grows and operates.

You'll work alongside a team that values accountability, integrity, quality, teamwork, respect, and passion, with the opportunity to build a strong HVAC team and create systems that support long-term success.
