Job Summary

At this time, only current PSEG employees are being considered. 

Perform detail-oriented administrative and operational duties to support Field & Metering, Billing, and Customer Contact operations.

Job Responsibilities

Perform a variety of detailed-oriented duties supporting PSE&G's Customer Care businesses including: Field & Metering Operations, Billing, Customer Contact, Perform SAP/CCS/EMPOWER data entry and Qualifications for Promotion job placement, service entry and purchase order creation and maintenance, allocation of Purchase Card charges, handle administrative duties such as maintaining appointments and organizing meetings/events.

  • Prepare correspondence, maintain records, create and maintain charts, spreadsheets and databases for multiple lines of business.
  • Respond to a wide variety of requests by researching information and conducting analysis. 
  • Coordinate on-call schedule with Electric Distribution, working with issues that are often sensitive in nature.
  • Track work assignments to ensure timely completion.
  • Maintain personnel files, local files and confidential correspondence; Time Reporting in SAP.
  • Cross-train colleagues and back up as needed.
Job Specific Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.  
  • Minimum 2 years of related professional work experience. 
  • Able to work with minimal guidance demonstrating judgment, attention to detail and effective time management. 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization. 
  • Proven ability to perform multiple tasks and assignments. Ability to maintain confidential information. 
  • Aptitude for learning new software programs.
  • Must possess a high degree of initiative, professionalism and self-motivation in identifying and accomplishing tasks.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Able to work core hours and overtime as required, travel to various work locations within Customer Care, as needed. 

Desired 

  • Bachelor’s degree, Associates' degree or some college level/continuing education courses.
  • Proven proficiency in the use of SAP, SAP/CCS.
