SUMMARY OF POSITION

In this role, you will:

  • Lead/Partner with automation and software vendors, site leadership and internal project teams to implement automation focused capabilities in the Blue Yonder WMS system. This includes defining technical system requirements, configuration, testing and implementation of transactional and automated operational distribution systems and processes in large regional CPG distribution centers and plant-attached distribution centers along with associated change management within large diverse teams.
  • As the Logistics systems COE, you will work directly with IT partners and Logistics Operations to define and implement complex warehousing implementations, enhancements, and break/fixes, having expertise in system tracing, SQL queries and basic database concepts.
  • Work with site leadership, project managers and automation consultants (layout) on appropriate change management and process integration with existing WMS system related to automation projects.
  • Aserve as key contact and functional expert for mills and third-party-operated Distribution Centers to assess materials handling and system and process problems, shortcomings and implementation of automated solutions
  • Develop a scope and depth of knowledge in safety, quality, and automated materials handling technical expertise to investigate and drive innovative solutions.
  • Support automated cost improvement programs to facilitate the achievement of Customer Logistics and Mills cost objectives.
  • Create new tools, reports or perform ad hoc analysis for logistics operational objectives, as needed, to support various customer group needs.
Influence
  • Provide leadership and project-related work direction to extended teams including Customer Logistics Team members, IT, personnel from partner third party logistics providers and contractors
  • Lead or participate in cross functional project teams made up of diverse team members ranging from senior leaders to machine or lift operators
  • Provide leadership in operational needs and processes related to automation projects on needs to developers, partners, project managers, and automation vendors

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, Information Science, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field.
  • Knowledge of or willingness/ability to learn analytical tools such as: SQL, Tableau, Microsoft Access, and SAS
  • Prior WMS, distribution and/or automation experience
  • Ability to analyze and problem solve complex data and identify root causes or areas of opportunity
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills, especially around complex topics
  • Enthusiasm for new challenges and an ability to take clear ownership of responsibilities
  • Ability to collaborate with and leverage diverse resources to achieve results
  • Travel up to 50% depending on project assignments
Preferred
  • Familiarity with distribution center layout and flow and/or CAD experience also desirable for this position
  • Experience with SAP Distribution, SAP EWM, Fourkites Dynamic Yard
  • Broad supply-chain systems and functional knowledge including supply chain, manufacturing operations, transportation, procurement and customer solutions
  • Ability to apply CI/Lean principles towards continuous improvement of a process

Salary Range

Salary Range: 105,740 – 130,620 USD At Kimberly-Clark, pay is just one aspect of our total rewards package, which also includes a variety of benefits and opportunities to achieve, thrive and grow. Along with base pay, this position offers eligibility for a target bonus and a comprehensive benefits suite, including our 401(k) and Profit Sharing plan. The anticipated base pay range for this role is provided above for a fully qualified hire. Actual pay will depend on several factors, such as location, role, skills, performance, and experience. Please note that the stated pay range applies to US locations only.
