Project Manager

Location: Washington, DC (On-site)

About the Opportunity

One of our clients, a global leader in electrical infrastructure and power solutions, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee complex electrical infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will manage projects from initiation through completion while coordinating with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, subcontractors, and customers in an international environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all phases of customer projects from initiation through closeout.

  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and customer expectations.

  • Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, subcontractors, and cross-functional teams.

  • Oversee engineering design reviews, shop drawing submittals, approvals, production, logistics, testing, commissioning, and warranty support.

  • Ensure contractual obligations are met throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication.

  • Collaborate with global teams to ensure successful project execution.

  • Identify risks and implement corrective actions to maintain project timelines.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or Mechanical Engineering. Equivalent industry experience may be considered.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Project Manager or Project Engineer within the electrical industry OR 5+ years as a Project Coordinator or Electrical/Mechanical Designer.

  • Strong experience in Traction Power, Electrical Substations, or closely related electrical infrastructure is REQUIRED.

  • Experience in any of the following industries is highly preferred:

    • Traction Power

    • Electrical Substations

    • Power Distribution

    • Railway Electrification

    • Electrical Equipment Manufacturing

    • Renewable Energy

    • Heavy Electrical Infrastructure

  • PMP Certification or formal Project Management training is a plus.

  • Experience managing engineering submittals, shop drawings, contract execution, and customer-facing projects.

  • Strong leadership, communication, planning, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Requirements
  • Must be authorized to work permanently in the United States without sponsorship.

  • Valid U.S. Passport required shortly after hire.

  • Approximately 25% travel, including occasional international travel.

  • Initial overseas training required.
