About the role

Jones Road Beauty is looking for an energetic and customer-oriented Retail Sales and Support Associate to join our team at our Chestnut Hill location. This role reports to the Store Manager. In this role, you will engage with customers, assist their needs, restock inventory, maintain store cleanliness, process transactions, and handle inquiries. We are seeking a people-first professional who has a passion for providing exceptional customer service where the ideal candidate can thrive in a fast-paced environment and is dedicated to creating a positive shopping experience for our customers.


What you’ll do:

Customer Service

  • Champion the Jones Road brand and deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive and personalized experience
  • Create a warm and inviting atmosphere, establishing a personal connection with each customer
  • Uphold the brand's artistry, passion, and productivity standards while assisting customers and maintaining the shop floor
  • Address any guest concerns promptly, ensuring appropriate actions are taken and notifying a manager when necessary
  • Support in managing walk in foot traffic and maintain the line management queue for appointments and assistance
  • Provides information on store services and products
  • Handle phone inquiries, direct calls, and offer basic information
  • Deliver personalized service by asking open-ended questions, understanding customer needs, and processing transactions through the POS system

Sales

  • Actively contribute to achieving monthly sales targets by effectively promoting and selling products to customers
  • Participates in driving monthly sales as well as in supporting store events
  • Welcome and engage customers and offer to service clients’ and pull their product needs as well as directing them through the store.


Team Work

  • Foster a cooperative and respectful relationship with retail colleagues, promoting open communication, professionalism, and creativity.

Operations

  • Work efficiently and accurately under time pressure, ensuring the store is customer-ready throughout business hours.
  • Maintain excellent store hygiene standards, including cleaning display units, brushes, tools, testers, etc., and restocking makeup stations after each use.
  • Assist with inventory management, including weekly and monthly stock counts and timely replenishments on the sales floor.
  • Aid in receiving packages or guiding delivery services to the store
  • Adhere to store standards and policies consistently


What you’ll bring

  • High School Diploma required, experience in hospitality-related field or retail preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in customer-facing retail or the service industry
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and convey messages clearly and concisely
  • Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Flexibility in schedule, including availability for work on days, weekends and holidays
  • Physical capability to stand and walk for the duration of a shift (up to 8 hours)
  • Ability to lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Willingness to stoop, bend and squat for cleaning and stocking duties on the sales floor and non-sales areas
