Job description

About Us
Axle Health builds AI scheduling and workforce management software to empower in-home healthcare providers to deliver exceptional, personalized care right where patients feel most comfortable-at home.
Some of the biggest providers in the country use our software (like Cityblock Health and U Penn Health System) to improve the utilization of their field teams by 17%+, and automate the operational burden of scheduling and dispatching.
Our platform includes proprietary logistics algorithms to optimize scheduling, a mobile app for field staff, an operations dashboard for office teams, engagement and booking tools for patients, and a wide range of integrations and external APIs for modular access.
We're a team of top-tier engineers and operators, backed by $14m from top investors such as Y Combinator, Pear VC, and F-Prime, applying our intellect and logistics experience to upend how home healthcare is delivered.
About You - The Role
Axle Health is hiring our Founding Delivery Manager to own the core of our customer implementation journey. We're building AI-powered scheduling and workforce management software for home health organizations, and getting our customers live, configured, and seeing value is one of the most important problems in the business. This role reports to our Head of Professional Services and owns implementation end to end: translating customer requirements into a configured, tested, launch-ready product, without a fully built process or operations team behind you.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on operator who thrives in ambiguity and wants full ownership of a complex, high-stakes build. You're comfortable taking the lead with customers, the one configuring the platform, and the one making the call on priority tradeoffs when something doesn't go to plan. You think like a product owner as much as a delivery owner, and you're energized by building your own systems and structure where none exist yet, not by being handed someone else's playbook.
You've owned complex, ambiguous implementations end to end before, in a B2B SaaS environment, and you know what it takes to get a customer from signed to live without losing the thread on requirements along the way. Most importantly, you're excited to build the foundation of a delivery function at a fast-growing Series A startup.
What You'll Do
  • Requirements and Workflow Translation: Partner directly with customers to uncover, document, and improve their operational workflows, translating them into clear configuration and integration requirements, the foundation everything downstream depends on
  • Project and Timeline Management: Own the overall implementation timeline and milestones, keeping work sequenced, on track, and visible to customers and internal stakeholders throughout the build, while tracking dependencies across concurrent implementations
  • Account Configuration: Build out the customer's environment to match those requirements, making product ownership tradeoffs on backlog and priority as issues surface
  • Integration Scoping and Sequencing: Define technical integration requirements and sequence build work against dependencies so nothing blocks go live at the last minute
  • Testing and Validation: Design and run UAT so issues surface before go live, not after
  • Go-Live Readiness: Own the go or no go checklist and drive it to completion
  • Customer Stakeholder Management: Serve as the customer's primary implementation point of contact throughout the build, keeping them informed and aligned
  • Cross-Functional Handoffs: Partner with Sales, Product, and Engineering to keep implementation relevant context flowing in both directions, flagging early where product gaps could block go live
  • Self-Service Identification: Spot recurring configuration patterns that currently require engineering support, and translate them into enhancement requests that move implementation toward self-service over time
Requirements
Must Haves
  • 7+ years in business analysis, product management, and/or technical project management in a B2B SaaS implementation or services environment - with demonstrated ownership of complex, ambiguous builds end to end
  • Comfortable being the single accountable owner of an implementation from requirements through go live - without a project manager or team behind you
  • Experience managing timelines, dependencies, and shared resources across multiple concurrent implementations at once - comfortable keeping several builds moving in parallel without one blocking another
  • Strong instincts for digging into what a customer actually needs - able to turn ambiguous customer conversations into clear, buildable configuration and integration specs
  • Hands on comfort actually configuring the platform, not just overseeing others who configure it
  • Demonstrated product thinking - has made or influenced backlog and priority tradeoffs during a live implementation, not just followed a project plan someone else wrote
  • Strong stakeholder management with both technical and non-technical customer contacts under go live pressure
  • Prior experience in an early or growth stage startup
Nice to Haves
  • SQL experience, including writing queries that pull, join, and aggregate data across multiple relational sources
  • Healthcare, logistics, workforce management, or field operations vertical experience
  • Experience building UAT and testing frameworks from scratch
  • Exposure to EHR or complex third-party integrations
  • Comfortable using AI tools to accelerate documentation, configuration, or troubleshooting
What We Offer
In addition to offering a competitive salary and equity, we want to ensure every team member has the tools they need to work to the best of their ability. To that end...
We are committed to your Ownership:
  • We cultivate an environment where team members feel ownership over the work they do. Everyone in an organization has big ideas and we want to hear them and implement them.
