Outside Account Associate – Division 8

Company Overview
This position is with a leader in providing commercial doors, frames, and hardware (Division 8). For over 50 years, we’ve built our reputation on integrity, service, and expertise. Based in Salt Lake City, Utah, we primarily serve customers throughout Utah, with occasional orders in Idaho and Wyoming.


Position Overview
The Outside Account Associate will join our outside sales team to manage and grow assigned customer accounts. This role is not commission-based or focused on cold calling; instead, it centers on maintaining strong customer relationships, overseeing orders from start to finish, and making regular onsite visits. Strong product knowledge and customer service skills are essential.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned customer accounts and ensure accuracy of quotes and orders.
  • Serve as the main contact for customer accounts, fostering long-term relationships.
  • Conduct regular onsite visits with customers to support order needs and provide solutions.
  • Understand submittals and read blueprints to ensure accuracy and order alignment.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Division 8 (commercial doors, frames, and hardware).
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a positive attitude.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Experience with Comsense software is helpful, but not required.
  • Prior sales or account management experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
