Job description

Overview

The Associate Account Manager works directly with the Strategic or Key Account teams, maintaining and growing relationships within assigned customer accounts. In close collaboration with the assigned account manager, this role supports the execution of sales pipeline objectives and overall growth of assigned customer account(s). The Associate Account Manager also provides essential support to sales and quoting activities to sales representatives and customers, ensuring high-quality service and sustained business growth.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions

  • Support Strategic and Key Account teams developing and maintaining productive relationships with key stakeholders within customer accounts, acting as the voice of the customer to internal teams.
  • Manage day-to-day customer needs, support pricing discussions, and drive customer satisfaction, retention, and profitability.
  • Support preparation of proposals and presentations to support sales strategies and execution of business plans.
  • Identify and nurture growth opportunities within assigned accounts, aligning customer needs with new service offerings or capabilities.
  • Review reports on account performance metrics (e.g., quotes, sales, backlog, delivery, returns), identify trends and recommend actionable improvements.
  • As needed, garner accurate forecasts from customers to support revenue projections for overall account. Ensure customer data in CRM systems is accurate; monitor satisfaction metrics and document customer interactions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, engineering, quality, and customer service to ensure on-time delivery, resolve issues, and meet customer expectations.
  • Participate in internal planning meetings to align customer demand and strategic targets
  • Coordinate and participate in customer meetings, support business reviews, and account planning sessions, including performance, opportunities, and forecasting.
  • Support the resolution of customer complaints and financial issues in collaboration with account teams, Quality, and Finance departments.
  • Represent the company at industry trade shows and customer events as needed.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives, including participation in the Operational Excellence Program.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements, Education & Experience (incl. KSA’s and certifications)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering, project management, or a related field or commensurate experience.
  • 1–3 years of equivalent experience in a customer-facing or account management role.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, schedule, and work independently with a high degree of integrity.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to customer sites and events (up to 25% of the time).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to prepare and present clear reports, presentations and business correspondence.
  • Ability to calculate figures and analyze sales data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Publisher).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Capable of interpreting business and technical documents and solving practical problems.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing setting.

Desirable Criteria and Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of B2B experience.
  • Direct experience with manufacturing systems is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience in medical device manufacturing.

Pay RangeUSD $51,300.00 - USD $74,300.00 /Yr. Pay Range Details

This pay range reflects the base hourly rate or annual salary for positions within this job grade, based on our market-based pay structures. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as skills, relevant experience, education, internal equity, business needs, and local market conditions. While the full hiring range is shared for transparency, offers are rarely made at the minimum or maximum of the range.
